If you are looking for a developmental edit to help you with your book proposal or manuscript (fiction or nonfiction, traditional or self-pub), Blue Heron Literary may be able to help!

We are open to all categories of non-fiction, and YA, commercial and literary fiction. We will not work on picture books, poetry, academic, or scientific writing. 

Please submit your work request in order to receive a quote. Email submissions@blueheronliterary.com, and include ‘Development Request’ with the subject line.

Please Note:

• We will not provide line editing, proofreading, or fact checking services

• Not all proposals/manuscripts will be accepted, as we will not take on projects we cannot provide meaningful feedback for

• Average turnaround time is one month, depending on the word/page count.  Your timeline will be provided upon acceptance.

• Proposal development does not imply your work is represented by Blue Heron Literary
